Can I narrow my search from the results page?

There are two ways in which AlltheWeb helps you narrow your search results.

Related Searches

AlltheWeb displays common search terms that are associated with your query based on previous users' queries. Click on a search term to narrow your search.

For example:

Search within your results

If AlltheWeb finds more than one page of results for your query, you can find the "Search within your results" link next to the search box at the bottom of your results page.

For example:

The linked text will take you to AlltheWeb's "Search within your results" form. There you can enter additional terms that AlltheWeb will search for within your set of results.

Why do News headlines sometimes appear in my results?

AlltheWeb automatically integrates news results when there is a news story relating to your search term(s).

For example:

Tip: If you don't want to see News headlines in your web search results, customize your settings to show zero headlines.

How do I interpret the results?

Each result is listed with the title of the page, a text excerpt that describes the page, and the URL of the page. By clicking on the title, your browser will be re-directed to the web site.

AlltheWeb will only list one page from each site. To get more hits from a specific site, you can click on the "more hits from:" link. AlltheWeb will then perform a new search with the same query, but only within the current site.

For example:

Tip: You can override this default behavior by customizing your settings.
